A packing slip goes in the box and tells whoever opens it what was packed. The generator on this page is set to the United States: list each item with the quantity ordered and the quantity delivered, and the slip shows what is still on back order. Prices stay off unless you add them. Print the PDF.

An invoice asks for payment; a packing slip only lists what is in the shipment, so the warehouse, the carrier and your customer can check it. Many US businesses also call it a “packing list”. Outside the United States, the same document is often called a delivery note, which is the title this generator prints for other countries.
The features are identical: only the title and the number series change. Slips are numbered PS-2026-001, then PS-2026-002, separate from your invoices.
Most packing slips show the seller, the customer's order or purchase order number, the date, the ship-to address and, for each line, the item and its quantities. Type the order number in “Purchase order” under “Number and dates”; it prints as “PO number”. If the parcel goes somewhere other than the billing address, tick “Ship to a different address” in “Delivery”.
We found no federal rule on what a packing slip has to contain, so the generator adds no wording presented as required.
Under “Ordered”, enter what the customer bought; under “Delivered”, what is actually in this box. When the two differ, a “Back order” column appears and shows, line by line, what will follow in a later shipment. Lines that shipped in full leave that column empty.
A slip often travels without prices, for instance when the parcel is a gift or goes straight to your customer's client. To show them anyway, tick “Show prices and totals” in “Line options”: amounts are then worked out on the quantities delivered, not on those ordered.
At the bottom, the “Received in good condition” box leaves room for a name, a date and a signature, handy for freight and local deliveries. The slip prints on US Letter paper, the default for a United States document.

Yes. Open “My documents” and choose “Create a delivery note” next to the invoice: on a US document, the copy is a packing slip numbered PS-, with the customer, the lines, the PO number and the ship-to address. The invoice itself does not change.
Yes, the same way: next to an estimate in “My documents”, choose “Create a delivery note”. Every line starts fully delivered; lower the quantities that are not in this box.
Yes, in this browser only: each slip you download or share is kept in “My documents”. Nothing is sent to a server.
